Update: First Majestic Silver Gains 5% as Q4 Adjusted EPS Matches Consensus Forecast

First Majestic Silver ( AG ) (AG.TO, AG) shares were last seen up 5% at last look Thursday as it reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings that matched analyst expectations.

The miner posted adjusted earnings per share, excluding most one-time items, of US$0.03, up from a US$0.03 per share loss in the year-prior quarter and in line with the FactSet analyst consensus forecast.

Revenue rose to US$172.3 million from US$136.9 million on higher average realized silver prices.

Adjusted EBITDA grew to US$64.8 million from US$37.0 million. Production fell 14% to 5.7-million silver equivalent ounces..

First Majestic shares were last seen up $0.36 to $7.99 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
