Update: Foran Mining Up Nearly 3% as Begins Staged Return of Employees to the McIlvenna Bay Project
Jun 9, 2025 9:20 AM

11:57 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates shares.)

Foran Mining ( FMCXF ) said Monday it started a staged and controlled return of personnel to the McIlvenna Bay project in Saskatchewan as the site is no longer under threat from regional wildfires.

The company expects workers to fully return to the site by Friday, positioning the project for a ramp-up of construction activities.

"Wildfires are an unfortunate reality in many remote parts of Canada, and this season has brought particular hardship across Saskatchewan and Manitoba," said chief executive Dan Myerson. "While we are fortunate that the McIlvenna Bay project remains intact and that our personnel can now begin returning safely, we recognize the broader toll these fires are taking," Myerson said.

Foran said it is taking measures to support employees and local residents impacted by the wildfires.

Foran's shares were last seen up $0.10 to $3.34 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
