Ford Motor ( F ) is recalling over 240,000 cars in the US because of possible problems with their seat belts, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or NHTSA.
Reuters reported the recall in a Friday news brief.
The issue involves specific 2020-2021 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator models where the anchor bolts for the seat belt buckles may be "improperly secured," according to the statement. The NHTSA said dealers will inspect the vehicles' seat belt buckle anchor bolts and affected components will be replaced free of charge.
