11:43 AM EDT, 10/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Fortuna Mining ( FSM ) on Thursday reported third-quarter production of 110,820 gold-equivalent ounces, down from 128,671 ounces of gold equivalent a year earlier.
Gold production fell to 91,251 ounces from 94,821 ounces. Silver production also fell to 816,187 ounces from 1.7 million ounces.
Zinc and lead production came in at 12.8 million pounds and 10 million pounds, respectively, down from 14 million pounds of zinc and 10.3 million pounds of lead.
The Lindero leach pad expansion is Fortuna's largest capital project in 2024. As of the end of September, the $41.7 million capital investment was about 76% complete and on budget. First ore to the new leach pad is planned for later in October.
Fortuna, which produces from five operating mines in West Africa and Latin America, reiterated its 2024 annual production guidance range of between 457,000 and 497,000 gold-equivalent ounces, including lead and zinc by-products.
Fortuna shares were last seen up $0.08 to $6.25 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
