Goldman Sachs ( GS ) Chief Technology Officer Atte Lahtiranta is leaving to join Citadel as head of core engineering, a Citadel spokesperson confirmed to MT Newswires Tuesday.

"We look forward to welcoming Atte as we continue to strengthen our industry-leading engineering team," Citadel CTO Umesh Subramanian said.

Goldman Sachs ( GS ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The move was reported earlier by Bloomberg.
