Home BancShares ( HOMB ) rose 6.3% in recent premarket activity Thursday after the company overnight posted stronger-than-expected growth in Q3 earnings and sales.

The company reported Q3 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $0.61 per diluted share, up from $0.50 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $0.60.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $277.7 million, up from $258 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $270 million.
