Update: HSBC Combines Capital Markets, Advisory Units to Target Private Credit Growth

HSBC Holdings ( HSBC ) confirmed to MT Newswires Friday that it is forming a new Capital Markets and Advisory group by merging its global financing and investment banking operations.

HSBC ( HSBC ) said the new business combines debt capital markets, leveraged and acquisition finance, and private credit with corporate finance and advisory services.

Adam Bagshaw, HSBC's ( HSBC ) global head of investment banking, will lead the Capital Markets and Advisory group, which is tasked with expanding private credit and strengthening the bank's advisory services in Asia and the Middle East.
