Update: John Deere Under FTC Investigation Over Allegedly Unfair Repair Policies

John Deere ( DE ) is under US Federal Trade Commission investigation regarding its unfair repair policies for farm equipment it manufactures, according to a filing made public Thursday.

The investigation became public when Hargrove & Associates filed to quash an FTC subpoena related to the case, according to the filing. Hargrove said the subpoena is out of the scope of FTC's investigative authority.

The FTC declined to comment to MT Newswires, saying it does not provide any public comments on ongoing investigations.

John Deere ( DE ) said it is cooperating with the FTC and cannot comment further while an investigation is ongoing. Hargrove did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
