08:26 AM EDT, 10/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Johnson & Johnson's ( JNJ ) response in the fourth paragraph.)
Johnson & Johnson ( JNJ ) is facing legal action in Britain over allegations that its talc-based baby powder caused cancer, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
The lawsuit was filed at the English High Court on Tuesday against J&J and Kenvue UK, a unit of Kenvue ( KVUE ) , Reuters reported.
Law firm KP Law said it has filed the suit on behalf of more than 3,000 claimants who allege that their cancer and other diseases were caused by using J&J's baby powder between 1965 and 2023, according to the reports.
J&J redirected queries to Kenvue ( KVUE ) as a spokesperson said, "We believe your inquiry would be best addressed by Kenvue ( KVUE ), our former consumer health business, which separated from Johnson & Johnson ( JNJ ) in August 2023. As a part of that separation, Kenvue ( KVUE ) retained the responsibility and any purported liability for talc related litigation outside of the United States and Canada."
Kenvue ( KVUE ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
