10:31 AM EST, 02/04/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates to add details from KKR and change attributions throughout.)
KKR (KKR) said Tuesday it has raised its offer for Fuji Soft to 9,850 Japanese yen ($63.45) per share, from 9,451 yen previously.
The company said it extended the tender offer period to Feb. 19 from the previous Feb. 7 deadline.
KKR said the higher price reflects Fuji Soft's stock trading above its previous offer and Bain Capital's announced, but uncommenced, bid of 9,600 yen per share.
The new price represents a 0.51% premium over Fuji Soft's Feb. 3 closing price and a 51.42% premium over its six-month average before KKR's initial bid, KKR added.
Fuji Soft did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Shares of KKR were down 6% in recent Tuesday trading.
