11:40 AM EDT, 07/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Liberty Gold ( LGDTF ) on Wednesday said it hosted a formal mine permitting kick-off meeting with key federal and state agency representatives for the Black Pine oxide gold project in Idaho.

The meeting with representatives from the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Idaho Department of Lands was led by Matt Zietlow, Liberty Gold's ( LGDTF ) director of regulatory affairs and sustainability.

At the meeting, Liberty Gold ( LGDTF ) presented a framework and draft schedule to resource specialists from the attending agencies. The framework outlines the strategic plan and deliverables required in preparation for formal submission of the mine plan of operations (MPO), expected in the fourth quarter.

Liberty Gold ( LGDTF ) provided an initial outline of the deliverables required from all parties, highlighting key steps for the timely and efficient completion of the MPO.

Project activities for the second half are focused on the completion of the pre-feasibility study, submission of the draft MPO to Forest Service to start the National Environmental Policy Act permitting process, and exploration drilling on priority target areas on recently permitted ground.
