Alaska Air Group ( ALK ) is converting a portion of its outstanding Boeing ( BA ) 787 jets order into the larger 787-10 model to meet increasing demand, especially in high-traffic routes, Reuters reported Thursday.

In an emailed statement to MT Newswires, Alaska Air ( ALK ) confirmed that it had converted some of its 787 aircraft into the 787-10 models.

A spokesperson said the company will soon share more details, including the number and timing of the deliveries.
