Apollo Global Management ( APO ) reached out to Paramount Global ( PARAA ) for a possible acquisition or asset purchase, Axios reported Tuesday, citing two unnamed sources familiar with the matter.

Apollo may also end up bidding only for select assets of Paramount, the report added, citing the sources.

Apollo Global and Paramount declined MT Newswires' requests for comment.
