Apollo Global Management ( APO ) is finalizing a deal to provide Electricite de France with as much as 5 billion UK pounds ($6.75 billion) of financing for the Hinkley Point C nuclear power plant in the UK, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing unnamed people with knowledge of the matter.

The latest talks are mostly focused on providing financing in the form of conventional long-term loans, the report said.

Electricite de France declined to comment, while Apollo did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
