Apple ( AAPL ) is discussing potential investment in Microsoft ( MSFT ) -backed OpenAI as part of a fundraising round that will push OpenAI's valuation over $100 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the situation.

The funding round worth several billion dollars will likely include Microsoft ( MSFT ) and is led by venture capital firm Thrive Capital, the report said.
