ASML ( ASML ) is considering expanding its presence in the Netherlands after the country's government has pledged to invest 2.5 billion euros ($2.7 billion) in infrastructure and education facilities in the region that houses ASML's ( ASML ) headquarters, Bloomberg reported Monday.

The Dutch government had set up a task force to keep the company in the country after media reports said it was considering expansion projects abroad, the report said.

An ASML ( ASML ) spokesperson told MT Newswires that the company has signed a nonbinding letter of intent with the municipality of Eindhoven "to explore the options at an industry campus."

The spokesperson said there isn't a "final decision yet."
