Brighthouse Financial ( BHF ) is working with bankers at Goldmans Sachs (GS) and Wells Fargo ( WFC ) to consider offers to sell itself entirely or raise minority equity, the Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

Brighthouse declined to comment when contacted by MT Newswires.

BHF shares were nearly 20% higher in recent trading.
