"Substantially all" of the dealerships that CDK Global (CDK) serves have seen their management systems come back online following a hack about two weeks ago, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing an email from the software provider's senior communications director.
On Monday, the company said that it expected all dealers to be live by no later than early Thursday.
"We are ahead of the anticipated schedule," CDK Global's senior communications director Tony Macrito reportedly told Bloomberg via email.
CDK Global recently became the target of two cyberattacks that left some of its dealership clients in the auto, truck, recreational vehicle and heavy equipment sector offline for nearly a week and brought car sales nationwide to a standstill.
Bloomberg News previously reported that a hacking group called BlackSuit was behind the ransomware attack demanding tens of millions of dollars from the company.
CDK Global did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
The company previously told MT Newswires it had notified law enforcement authorities and also begun an investigation with the help of third-party experts.
