Four of China's top industry associations on Tuesday said Chinese companies should be wary of buying US chips as they are "no longer safe," and should buy local instead, Reuters reported Tuesday.

Intel ( INTC ) , Nvidia ( NVDA ) , and Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) could all be impacted by escalating trade tensions between the two countries, Reuters reported.

Intel ( INTC ) declined to comment, while Nvidia ( NVDA ) and AMD did not immediately reply to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
