Citigroup ( C/PN ) (C) will keep most of its branches and offices in the United Arab Emirates closed until further notice amid the ongoing US-Israel was war Iran that has impacted countries in the Middle East, Reuters reported Monday, citing a company message sent to customers Saturday.
The bank had earlier planned to reopen Monday, according to the report.
The Mall of the Emirates branch in Dubai remains the only location operating with reduced hours, Reuters reported.
"The decision to evacuate three of our buildings and to temporarily close some branches in the UAE is consistent with our commitment to prioritize the safety of our colleagues," the company said in a statement e-mailed to MT Newswires.
