CME Group ( CME ) is planning to introduce spot bitcoin trading on its platform, the Financial Times reported Thursday, citing people with direct knowledge of the matter.

The exchange, which already supports trading in bitcoin futures, has been in talks with traders who want to trade the cryptocurrency on a regulated marketplace, the report said. CME declined comment to FT.

CME Group ( CME ) told MT Newswires it did not comment on rumor or speculation.
