Update: Market Chatter: Glass Lewis Calls for Investors to Vote Against 3 Boeing Directors, Including CEO
Apr 30, 2024 10:51 AM

01:44 PM EDT, 04/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with details throughout)

Proxy adviser Glass Lewis recommended shareholders vote against three current directors on the board of Boeing ( BA ) , including departing Chief Executive Dave Calhoun, Reuters reported Tuesday.

The firm recommended that shareholders reject the nominees to signal to Boeing ( BA ) they were dissatisfied with the company's safety culture.

Boeing ( BA ) has come under scrutiny following a string of plane incidents that began with the mid-air blowout of a 737 Max jetliner's fuselage in January.

The head of the Federal Aviation Administration previously described the January incident as a production failure and said the company emphasized mass production over safety standards.

Boeing ( BA ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
