Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) unit Google's ( GOOG ) request for permission to export map data was once again delayed by South Korea pending a request for additional documents, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing the country's land, infrastructure and transport ministry.
The ministry has given the technology giant until Feb. 5 to submit additional documents ahead of a decision by its National Geographic Information Institute, according to the report.
South Korea previously rejected such requests from Google ( GOOG ), Reuters reported.
A Google ( GOOG ) spokesperson said, "For months, we've been actively engaging with the Korean government and are committed to working with them to help all users - both in Korea and globally - benefit from Google Maps."
