Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ) has been selected to build servers optimized for artificial intelligence for the social media company X, formerly Twitter, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The deal is worth more than $1 billion and was reached late in 2024, the sources reportedly said, asking to remain anonymous because the deal was private.

Dell Technologies ( DELL ) and Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) were said to have also bid on the deal.

Hewlett Packard ( HPE ) to comment when reached by MT Newswires.
