JPMorgan Chase ( JPM ) named former HSBC (HSBC) dealmaker Kamal Jabre as new M&A vice chair to drive growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Reuters reported Thursday, citing a memo.

JPMorgan ( JPM ) also appointed insider Marc Pandraud as M&A vice chair alongside Jabre, the report said.

Pandraud and Jabre will work with JPMorgan's ( JPM ) local industry, country and M&A staff for its EMEA expansion, the report added.

JPMorgan ( JPM ) confirmed to MT Newswires that the reported appointments of Pandraud and Jabre are correct.

An HSBC spokesperson confirmed Jabre's departure in a statement emailed to MT Newswires.
