Meta Platforms ( META ) is planning to raise $29 billion from private capital firms to build artificial intelligence data centers in the US, the Financial Times reported Friday, citing sources.
Discussions between Meta and private capital firms like Apollo Global Management ( APO ) , KKR (KKR), and Carlyle (CG) have advanced, according to people familiar with the matter, the report added.
Meta is planning to raise $3 billion of equity and the remaining $26 billion in debt, one of the sources reportedly said.
The company is working with advisers at Morgan Stanley ( MS ) to arrange the financing, sources told the news outlet.
Meta Platforms ( META ) declined to comment on the matter.
