Meta Platforms ( META ) will lay off a few hundred workers across the company on Wednesday, The Information reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.

The cuts will impact Meta's hardware platforms and wearables division -- Reality Labs -- as well as its social media teams, recruiting operations and a smaller figure in sales, the report said.

"Teams across Meta regularly restructure or implement changes to ensure they're in the best position to achieve their goals," a Meta spokesperson said via email. "Where possible, we are finding other opportunities for employees whose positions may be impacted."
