Microsoft ( MSFT ) plans to release the latest installment of the Call of Duty video game to its subscription service instead of the longtime approach of selling it a la carte, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The plan is expected to be announced at the company's annual Xbox showcase in June, the people told the newspaper.

The company did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
