Morgan Stanley ( MS ) fired a trading executive following allegations he made inappropriate comments to colleagues, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Kow Atta-Mensah oversaw the investment bank's global commodities business before he was abruptly let go last month, the report said.

"Mr. Atta-Mensah intends to prosecute his claims aggressively for wrongful termination in court and looks forward to full and complete vindication," Atta-Mensah's attorney John Singer said in a statement, according to Bloomberg.

Morgan Stanley ( MS ) declined to comment. Atta-Mensah's attorney did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
