Morgan Stanley ( MS ) plans to execute a significant risk transfer tied to a $6 billion portfolio of loans to private market funds, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The transfer, which allows banks to insure loans against default, may be $750 million, or about 12.5% of the portfolio, the report said.

Morgan Stanley ( MS ) declined MT Newswires' request for a comment.
