Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) is selling 4.65 billion euros ($5.03 billion) in bonds, a first in more than two years, to finance programs to increase production of its blockbuster treatments, Bloomberg reported on Monday, citing a person familiar with the matter.

The company is issuing bonds for general corporate purposes and to finance the acquisition of the three sites from Catalent ( CTLT ), Novo Nordisk ( NVO ) told MT newswires.

The company on Tuesday offered for sale two euro-denominated bonds in a debt offering with maturity periods ranging from two to 10 years, the report added.
