Update: Market Chatter: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Plans China Visit to Meet With Potential Chip Buyers
Mar 11, 2026 1:28 AM

06:24 AM EST, 01/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Nvidia ( NVDA ) response in the final paragraph.)

Nvidia ( NVDA ) Chief Executive Jensen Huang is planning to visit China to meet with potential buyers and discuss recent logistical challenges in supplying US-approved chips, CNBC reported Friday, citing two unnamed people familiar with the matter.

According to the report, Huang is set to visit China in the coming days, before the mid-February Lunar New Year.

Nvidia's ( NVDA ) H200 artificial intelligence chips are not allowed to enter China, according to directives issued by Chinese customs authorities, Reuters reported earlier this month. This comes as Nvidia ( NVDA ) received conditional approval to export H200 artificial intelligence chips to China following a revision of the Bureau of Industry and Security's licensing policy around the same time.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) declined to comment when reached by MT Newswires.
