09:40 AM EDT, 09/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Nvidia's ( NVDA ) comments in the third and fourth paragraphs.)
Nvidia ( NVDA ) is backing off from its quasi-competition with Amazon's ( AMZN ) Amazon Web Services as it lessens its efforts to attract business to its cloud service, DGX Cloud, The Information reported Friday, citing a person with direct knowledge of the situation.
The chipmaker instead plans to utilize the cloud service mostly for its own researchers, according to the source.
A Nvidia ( NVDA ) spokesperson told MT Newswires that DGX Cloud is a "great success as a cloud for Nvidia's ( NVDA ) own AI research and development and a sandbox in which we work with cloud partners to optimize their compute stacks and developers on their CUDA AI software."
"DGX Cloud is fully utilized and oversubscribed, and we are expanding its scale," the spokesperson said.
