Phillips 66 (PSX) cut gasoline output at its Bayway refinery in New Jersey following a fire close to the plant's gasoline producing unit, Reuters reported Thursday, citing two people familiar with the matter.
An ancillary piece of equipment caught fire, and the cause wasn't immediately clear, the report said.
The refinery is due to resolve the issue in the coming days and return to full production, one of the sources said, according to the report.
Phillips 66 typically doesn't comment on refinery operations, a company spokesperson said in an email to MT Newswires.
