04:19 AM EDT, 10/15/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates with Robinhood's response in the fourth paragraph and stock price movement in the last para.)
Robinhood Markets ( HOOD ) is open to deals that would expand its prediction markets business, Reuters reported Monday, citing an interview with the company's vice president and general manager of futures and international, JB Mackenzie.
"We as a firm are going to be looking to see if there is an acquisition that's available," Reuters quoted him as saying. "I'm always looking to see if there's something of interest. If there is, we'll pursue it and see if it's the right fit."
He said the company also has "really good engineers" that can build tools in-house.
Robinhood said in a statement e-mailed to MT Newswires that it had "nothing to add beyond what's in that story."
The company's shares were up 2.9% in recent premarket activity Wednesday.
