TPG (TPG) is closing in on a 7 billion euro ($7.79 billion) deal to acquire German metering company Techem, the Financial Times reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter.

An agreement could be reached as soon as Monday for TPG to acquire Techem from Partners Group, but no final decision has been made, the people reportedly told the FT.

TPG declined MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.
