Tyson Foods' ( TSN ) beef plant in Lexington, Nebraska, which is scheduled to close, will continue to operate with limited capacity, Reuters reported Friday, citing a company statement.

The company said that about 292 of the facility's 3,200 workers will remain employed for between three and 185 days to handle tasks related to the plant's closure, according to the report.

A company spokesperson told MT Newswires that limited further processing will continue at the facility during the transition period.
