09:59 AM EDT, 06/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- (Updates to include a statement from a UBS spokesperson in the fifth paragraph.)
UBS Group's ( UBS ) company data was stolen in a cyber attack on one of its suppliers, Le Temps reported Tuesday, citing German specialist service Inside IT.
Le Temps reported that the data, including information on more than 130,000 employees, was published on the dark web after a ransomware attack on procurement provider Chain IQ.
Chain IQ confirmed the attack but did not specify which data was compromised, the news outlet reported.
Among the leaked information was CEO Sergio Ermotti's phone number, along with employee addresses and office floor details, Le Temps reported.
A spokesperson from UBS confirmed the cyber attack to MT Newswires and reiterated that no client data was leaked as the company took "swift and decisive action" to prevent any impact on operations.
Shares of the company were down by more than 2% in recent Wednesday trading.
