Unilever ( UL ) has proposed Peter ter Kulve as chief executive of its Magnum Ice Cream business, which will list in Amsterdam by year's end and is home to brands such as Ben & Jerry's ( UL ), Cornetto and Wall's, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a Unilever ( UL ) spokesperson.

Ter Kulve, who currently serves as president of the ice cream business, has been accused by the board of Ben & Jerry's ( UL ) of "eye-popping" ignorance, according to the report.

A Unilever ( UL ) spokesperson confirmed the proposal to MT Newswires, saying Unilever's ( UL ) board is expected to approve the board composition of its Magnum Ice Cream business in July. Ben & Jerry's ( UL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
