Unilever ( UL ) has commenced initial discussions about a potential sale of its ice cream business, worth as much as 15 billion British pounds ($19.37 billion), with interested parties, Bloomberg Reported.

The company has started holding presentations with potential bidders, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. Unilever's ( UL ) ice cream business has famous names like Ben & Jerry's ( UL ) and Magnum.

Advent International, Blackstone (BX), Cinven and CVC Capital Partners have shown preliminary interest, while Clayton Dubilier & Rice and KKR (KKR) have been studying the business, Bloomberg reported.

The official sale process is likely to begin in H2 with no finalized agreements, the report added.

Unilever ( UL ) declined to comment on the matter while Advent International, Blackstone, Cinven, and CVC Capital did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
