United Airlines (UAL) is in final talks to lease at least 36 Airbus A321neo jets to replace the Boeing ( BA ) 737 Max 10 orders that have been delayed for at least five years, Bloomberg reported late Thursday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The airline targets to have the Airbus planes delivered between 2025 and 2027, the report added, citing the people.
United Airlines declined Bloomberg's request for comment.
A Boeing ( BA ) spokesperson deferred comment to United Airlines regarding their fleet decisions when reached by MT Newswires, while an Airbus spokesperson told MT Newswires that the company does not comment on the "confidential content."
