United Airlines (UAL) is in final talks to lease at least 36 Airbus A321neo jets to replace the Boeing ( BA ) 737 Max 10 orders that have been delayed for at least five years, Bloomberg reported late Thursday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The airline targets to have the Airbus planes delivered in 2025 to 2027, the report said, citing the people.
A Boeing ( BA ) spokesperson deferred comment to United Airlines regarding their fleet decisions when reached by MT Newswires, while an Airbus spokesperson told MT Newswires that the company does not comment on the "confidential content."
United Airlines declined MT Newswires' request for comment.
