A US appeals court ruled Friday the Department of Justice can reopen an antitrust investigation into the policies of the National Association of Realtors, Bloomberg reported.
The US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit rejected a bid by the real estate group to enforce a 2020 settlement with the Trump administration to end the probe, the report said.
The realtors group told MT Newswires Friday it is reviewing the court decision and evaluating its next steps. "NAR believes that the government should be held to the terms of its contracts."
The Justice Department didn't respond to a request for comment, Bloomberg reported. It also did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Zillow Group ( ZG ) and Re/Max ( RMAX ) stocks were both up less than 1% in recent trading Friday.
