Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares were down past 10% in recent Thursday trading after the company reported its fiscal Q2 results.

The company reported fiscal Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $4.14 per diluted share, up from $3.35 a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $3.91.

Revenue for the three months ended Dec. 31 was $81.27 billion, up from $69.63 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $80.31 billion.
