Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) declined repeated offers from Microsoft ( MSFT ) for assistance in the aftermath of July's global system outage, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing a letter from the technology giant's attorneys to Delta representatives.

"Delta has a long track record of investing in safe, reliable and elevated service for our customers and employees," said a Delta spokesperson via email in reply to MT Newswires' request for comment. "Since 2016, Delta has invested billions of dollars in IT capital expenditures, in addition to the billions spent annually in IT operating costs."

Microsoft ( MSFT ) declined to comment to MT Newswires.
