Update: Microsoft Unveils Second Fairwater Data Center in Atlanta to Advance AI Superfactory Plans

Microsoft ( MSFT ) said Wednesday that the company unveiled its second Fairwater AI data center in Atlanta as part of efforts to create an AI superfactory network of connected data centers for training AI models at scale.

The new site connects with the company's first Fairwater site in Wisconsin to facilitate real-time collaboration to significantly reduce AI model training durations, according to a statement.

The site will house Nvidia ( NVDA ) graphics processing units, and the two-story design with an advanced cooling system facilitates low latency and higher GPU density, the company said.
