11:54 AM EDT, 04/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Midland Exploration ( MIDLF ) said Tuesday it recently acquired, by map designation, the Caniapisc gold project in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay and Caniapiscau regions of northern Quebec. The project is wholly owned by Midland and comprises 94 claims covering an area of 47 square kilometers.

Midland said the project contains "historical unexplained gold anomalies in till samples" with up to 41 pristine and 66 modified gold grains.

The company said it plans to launch a reconnaissance exploration program during summer 2024.

Midland were last seen down C$0.01 to C$0.38 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
