Update: Mirasol Resources Jumps 11% as It Begins a Drill Program at Its Flagship Sobek Copper Project in Chile
Nov 28, 2024 9:12 AM

11:51 AM EST, 11/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Mirasol Resources ( MRZLF ) said Thursday it has started drilling on the Potro SE target on its flagship Sobek copper-gold project in Chile.

The company said the first diamond-drill hole is expected to reach the top of the target at a depth of 250-350 meters and continue to a total depth of 700-800 meters.

Mirasol expects to complete the drilling in about 30 days.

"We are excited to announce that drilling is well underway at Sobek North," Mirasol chief executive Tim Heenan said. "The Potro SE target is characterized by a shallow cylindrical shaped magnetic high response with a coincident high IP chargeability located at the intersection of two productive faults reinforcing its potential as a concealed porphyry target."

Mirasol shares were last seen up $0.045 to $0.47 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
