NextEra Energy Partners ( NEP ) shares rose 7.1% in recent trading on Tuesday after the company reported Q1 earnings of $0.75 per common unit, swinging from a loss of $0.17 a year earlier.

Operating revenue in the quarter ended March 31 rose $257 million from $245 million a year earlier, the company said Monday.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $313.9 million.

The company boosted its dividend 6% to $0.8925 per common unit. It's payable May 15 to unitholders of record May 7.
