Nio (NIO) shares climbed 13% in recent Wednesday trading after the company said April vehicle deliveries more than doubled from a year earlier.

Deliveries last month were 15,620 vehicles, including 8,817 sport-utility vehicles and 6,803 sedans, the Chinese electric-vehicle maker said Wednesday.

Year-to-date deliveries rose 21% to 45,673 vehicles, the company said.
